Bierschinken is sometimes called the fine Brutwurst of finely ground cooked pork sausage with visible chunks of cured meat.
Contrary to the name, Bierschinken does not contain any beer, but rather refer to the tradition of enjoying slices of this sausage alongside a cold beer. This sausage is usually eaten sliced as a cold cut atop fresh bread rolls or slices of wood-fired bread along with gherkins and eggs.
